Shopping in Italy
Shopping in Italy is spectacular and for good reason. Top fashion designers in clothing, handbags, shoes, and leather goods set the pace each season on the runways of Milan.
Italy is also home to important names in furniture, ceramic, glass, and jeweler designers. On a smaller scale, but not less important are the local artisans practicing their craft, following in the steps of their ancestors. Whether it be silversmiths, painting, leatherwork, mosaic work, bespoke clothing, or the array of food producers scattered in the countryside, there is much to tempt and explore.
Personal Shopper
In Florence and Venice, qualified Personal Shoppers are available upon request to help you discover and experience the craftsmanship and quality available to you.
Outlet Centers
A fairly new phenomenon in Italy is the growing trend for ‘mall outlet’ shopping. Outlets are not new, but they were usually associated with the factory. In recent years, new shopping paradises belonging to international chains like Value Retail, McArthur Glen and Fashion District have opened big outlet centers like Fidenza Village off Parma, a one and half hour drive from Milan or Bologna; Barberino Outlet, 20 minutes from Florence, Castel Romano Outlet, 90 minutes from Civitavecchia Port; and Valmontone Outlet, a one hour drive from Rome's city center.
The outlets house women's and men's wear, shoes, accessories, intimates, cosmetics and home furnishings.
