A private shore excursion tour of Rome from the cruise dock of Civitavecchia with private car and driver and personal expert guide for a guided visit to Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel  

In the morning at the cruise dock of Civitavecchia your English speaking driver meet you at the disembark, he will have a sign with your name on and with private car or minivan he will accompany to the  entrance of Vatican museums where you will meet your local Guide. 

With the commentary of your personal art expert guide you will visit the Vatican Museums  with its outstanding collection of works of art, the museums was founded by pope Julius II, nicknamed “the Warrior Pope” in the 16th century.  The Sistine Chapel with its architecture, evocative of Solomon's Temple of the Old Testament, and its decoration which has been frescoed throughout by the greatest Renaissance artists including Michelangelo, Raphael, Bernini, and Botticelli. 
The tour ends with a visit to St. Peter's Basilica who host a masterpiece of Renaissance: the Pietà by Michelangelo.
We will provide pre-booked tickets to avoid lines.

At the end of  the visit  meet your private driver and he will lead you in an excursion to the highlights of Rome  Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Fontana di Trevi, Spanish Steps,  Forum, and Coliseum. 

In the mid afternoon depart from Rome and reach in a relaxed trip the Civitavecchia dock to board on your ship before Cruise Boat leaves.
